We will miss you, Ruby. I always looked forward to our family Swiss Chalet dinner dates in Halifax when I was younger, and I'm glad you were able to meet your Great, Great nephew and niece while in Ivany Place. I'm sure by now you've gotten your wings and joined your sisters and brothers. Deepest sympathies to all family, especially Uncle Dennis. Love, Krista xoxo

We will miss Ruby at Schooner landing . She was quiet and kept to herself but every once and awhile we would sit down and talk about when she use to work for GE and a architect firm. One day after Ruby moved in her and another resident hid my cleaning cart in a different room. I could tell they did it because both of them were hiding in a room giggling. I never called her Ruby , to me it was always Rubes . I will miss her

Was saddened to read of Ruby's passing. I have great memories of the years I worked with her at G.E We were family in those days and many stayed connected over the years. I am thankful I got to visit her at Bedford when I made visits with another lady that needed me, leaving no time to sit and talk with Ruby. She seemed to be happy with the folks there and was well cared for as she expressed. Our G.E large group has lost so many that shared in the " good ol' days" at Howe Ave as we knew it. Sincere sympathy to all at this difficult time Betty Harnish

who we are:

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
