Obituary of Robert Frederick Lowe

Lowe, Robert Frederick “Bob”- 75, Sheet Harbour passed away Saturday June 22, 2019 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour. Born January 9,1944 in Sheet Harbour he was a son of the late Clyde and Julia (Reid) Lowe. Bob had been in the military for three years. After that he went to Sudbury Ontario and worked in the Nickel Mines for two years. He then came home to work at the Scott Paper Mill , Michelin Tire and then worked in the woods as a machine operator. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fly fishing, tying flies, tinkering around the garage, being with family especially at family dinners, going to the camp, bowling and playing baseball. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; children, Tracey (Michael) ,Sheet Harbour, Chris (Jennifer), Mushaboom; grandchildren, Madison, Dawson, Isaac and Hayden; brother, Elbridge (Kathie), Brighton, Ont; sisters, Arlene (Fred) Keans, Thelma Adamson (Doug) both of Dartmouth, Eva (Orville) Momborquette, Sheet Harbour. Predeceased by daughter, Lori; step father, Francis Dugie; sisters, Muriel McAvoy, Patsy Chittick, Shirley Daye and Madeline Hardiman; brothers, Garnet, Art, John, Billy, Ernie, Harry and three siblings  in infancy. Visitation Thursday June 27,2019 from 7-9 pm with Memorial service Friday June 28 at 11 AM all in St. James United Church, Sheet Harbour, Rev Kym Burke-Cole officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.  Reception to follow in the Sheet Harbour Lions Centre. Family flowers only. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made  to St. James Church or a charity of your choice.
