Obituary of Kenneth St. Clair Hartling

Age 76, Sheet Harbour, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side. Born in Sheet Harbour June 12, 1943 he was a son of the late Neil and Hazel (Gerrard) Hartling. Ken worked at the Department of Highways until retirement and enjoyed tinkering with old cars and trucks, hunting and fishing with the grandchildren. He loved telling stories, gardening and his children and grandchildren. Kenneth was a real family man. Sandra and his boys were his pride and joy. Kenneth had an answer for everything. He was a family go to for all problems no matter how big or small. Kenneth always said "If you can't fix it, you're not a Hartling". Survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra; children, Sherry, Shawn (Erica), Kenny (Paulette), Kevin (Madeline); eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, George, Laurie, Robie and Francis. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral by request.
