Obituary of Robert Gordon Young

Age 82, Spry Bay, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour. Born in Halifax, April 29, 1937, he was a son of the late Harold and Lillian (Schwartz) Young. Bob was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He also was a handyman and could fix anything. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bingo. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Faith; sons, Michael (Veronica), Sheet Harbour; Darren (Shauna), Dartmouth; Gary (Cheryl), Bonshaw, P.E.I.; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Kyle, Michelle, Gabriel, Aysha, Amahri, Ahnais, Cameron and Christian; great-granddaughters, Jayleigh and Ayla; sister, Phoebe (Don) Croucher, Timberlea. Predeceased by brothers, Donald, Junior, Buddy; sisters, Gwenith, Ruth, Dorothy, Madeline, Judy and Sharon. Memorial service will be held Thursday, June 20th at 11 a.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Spry Bay, Rev. Lorraine Otto officiating. Burial at a later date.
