SNYDER VERNON ALBERTON “Guss” 83 Sheet Harbour and Hearts Delight, N.L. passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 in Carbonear General Hospital, Carbonear, N.L. Born in Sheet Harbour, May 30, 1935 he was a son of the Late Ernest & Melvina (Boutilier) Snyder. Guss worked at the Sheet Harbour Pulp Mill on the forklift and doing general labour work until its closure in 1971, he then went to work with N.S. Power cutting trees, and then worked with Cameron Construction in the building of Twin Oaks Hospital, and retiring as a heavy equipment operator with the Department of Highways. Guss enjoyed listening to country music ,also playing the guitar and singing, snowmobiling, ATVing, hunting and fishing. Survived by sons Danny (Rose) Hearts Desire, N.L. Kenny, Sheet Harbour, grandchildren Fraser, Tracey and Lisa, great grandchildren Emma & Tyler, caregiver and sister in law Fay Crocker, sisters Doreen (Carl) Bezanson, Jeannie (Donnie) Boutilier, Mildred MacPherson, Marlene Jewers, brothers Reggie (Erma), Ernest (Brenda), Roger (Theresa) predeceased by wife Yvonne, daughter Marina in infancy. Cremation has taken place, memorial service will be held this summer
