Obituary of Reta Mae Fleet

Age 84, Ecum Secum, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Cole Harbour, Guysborough Co., March 16, 1934 she was a daughter of the late Otto and Gladys (Rhynold) Munroe. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Reta worked at Turners Fish Plant when she was younger as well as the Department of Highways, then as homemaker raising her children. Reta enjoyed getting out for a drive and a meal, doing crosswords, knitting, baking, quilting and most of all the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Survived by children, Donald (Catherine), Dartmouth; Lowell (Jolene), Darlene (Lester), Dean (Nicole), Susan (Troy), all of Ecum Secum; grandchildren, (daughter at heart) Patricia, Angela, Colton, Hayley, Brendan, Hunter, Joel; four great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Predeceased by husband, Clair; brothers, Cecil and Theodore; sister, Martha (Dolly); grandson, Trevor; daughter-in-law, Melinda. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 17th from 7-9 p.m. in Ecum Secum Chapel, 429 Highway 7, Ecum Secum. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 18th at 11 a.m. in St. Baranabas Anglican Church, Ecum Secum; Rev. Gary Barr officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only.
