Obituary of Yvonne Marie Lawlor
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Yvonne Marie Lawlor, on December 17, 2018 at the age of 80 with her daughters by her side. Born December 12, 1938 in Sheet Harbour to the late Harry and Martha (Fahie) Lawlor. Yvonne was a long-time employee of Morris Chocolate Factory for 20 years and the IWK Grace Maternity Hospital where she retired after 23 years of service. She raised her two daughters Denise (Larry) and Karen (John & Kim) in Halifax and provided the best life she could for them. She was blessed with six grandchildren Joey (Natalie), Jamie, Matthew, Amanda (Darren), Ashley (Jason) & Robyn and eight great grandchildren Julia, Riley, Tristan, Kelsey, Calan, Michael, Brelynn, Patrick to whom her love never wavered.
She is survived by her sisters Barb, Annie (Bobby), Rosie (Norman), Diane (David), Debbie (Steven) and brothers Jim, Paul (Linda), Maxie, many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sisters Elizabeth (Bessie) (Don), Juanita (Claire) and brother Harry Jr.
Yvonne had the biggest heart, full of only love for everyone she met. She gave with out expecting anything in return, always provided a safe place for anyone in need and was the best secret keeper. She was the true definition of unconditional love. She enjoyed going to BINGO with her family & friends, was an avid wrestling fan and an exceptional cook and baker.
It is without a doubt that she will be missed by all, nevertheless we will have the best guardian angel looking over us!
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday December 21 at 11:00a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Sheet Harbour Father Fabian officiating. Burial in the church cemetery, reception to follow in the Sheet Harbour Legion.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
