Obituary of Vincent Burton Fleet
Fleet, Vincent Burton- 61, Sheet Harbour passed away Thursday December 13, 2018 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour. Born February 12, 1957 in Sheet Harbour he was a son of the late Burton and Ruth (Turner) Fleet. In his earlier years he worked at Maritime Tel & Tel, lighthouse keeper on Beaver Island, IGA and Lawtons. Vincent was a lifetime member of the Sheet Harbour Lions Club, past Legion Member and bingo caller for the last 5 years. Vincent was known for his kindness and willingness to help others. He loved his 3 granddaughters and was very proud of all of them. Survived by his wife of 36 years Linda, daughters; Nicole, Carol (Dean Boutilier), granddaughters; Tiffany, Mariah, Malika, sisters; Bonnie (Eugene) Naugler, Valerie (Ronald) Corkum, sister in-law Florence Pye and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by half brother Graham Pye, brothers; Douglas and Eddie. Visitation will be held Monday December 17 from 7-9p.m. in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday December 19, 2018 at 2:00p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Port Dufferin. Burial in the church cemetery, reception to follow in the Sheet Harbour Legion. Donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to the Rainbow Foodbank, Sheet Harbour.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
