Always the life of the party and my second “dad” in my teenage years when I’d spend weeks with you at a time you are so loved and will never be forgotten. I will cherish the many years of memory’s from swims at liscomb lodge, to sing-a-longs, to collecting pop tabs for you. We are glad you are no longer suffering and know you are strumming away in heaven. We love you for always, Cassie, Josh, Blake & Leia

Bernie,
I love that you came into my cousin Sally’s life and had Shannon. The grandchildren look so happy in the pics that I have seen . So much love from your heart . ❤️ I mostly remember you from family reunions and having such a lovely voice . Singing so many different songs that all of us could dance to . Tony , Samantha , Megan and I send our love to you from Ottawa . RIP Bernie

All my very best memories with my dad are outdoors. He’d take me to check the rabbit snares, fishing, swimming at the swimming hole, paddle boating at the lodge, to the secret beach at Liscombe or walks in the forest. Some of these things I would never have ever gotten to do in my life.
I love you, Dad.
I’ll miss you forever.

To Sally, very sorry for your loss, sincere condolences to you, his family and friends.
Always enjoyed going to the dances when Triple B played. And lately had some interaction with Bernie when ordering/picking up Sally's delicious egg rolls.

I had known Bernie since I was a kid, him and Sally were great family friends when I was growing up. Bernie took the time and taught me my first few guitar chords.
Sally, Shannon and family, so sorry to hear....my heart goes out to all of you ❤️.

I will remember Bernie for so many reasons, his smile, his music, his open heart among a few. We had so many great times that will never be forgotten. I will miss the visits, either at Sally and Bernies or here with Jim and I. Always a fun time, and always fond memories!

What I'll miss most about my uncle is the way he loved his family and supported them by cheering them on from the side lines with what ever task they were doing. He was usually always pretty upbeat and smiley, always had jokes. Him playing music smoothed the soul. Forever in our thoughts.

Bernie was one of the first people we met when we came to live in Ecum Secum. He was like a friend that we always knew right of the bat. So kind and helpful was worried that we were ok and would check up on us quite often. He was a blessing. When Allan was in the ICU in Antigonish, he made sure that I had what I needed and understood how worried I was. It was a very difficult time for me and Bernie would take the time to talk almost everyday and he made me feel alot better. Bernie would let Allan know when there was a bake sale on and Allan would load up on egg rolls...so good! God love you Sally and wanting you to know just how much we appreciated having you both as friends.

Condolences to Sally and the family. Bernie always stopped to say hello and have a short chat. He was a kind, gentle man. Went to a lot of dances where Bernie played and watched a lot of ball games where Bernie played. Always a good sport! Xo
