Obituary of Hannah Jennetta Mills
MILLS (Naugler), Hannah Jennetta – West Quoddy
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on October 31, 2018. Hannah was born in Moser River to the late Murray and Agnes (Bezanson) Naugler on July 21, 1923.
Hannah was a loving mother and grandmother who always had the ability to see the best in every person and in every situation. She walked through life with quiet strength, compassion and gratitude. She was dedicated to her family, her faith and her friends. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Hannah leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Hannah is survived by her son James (Karen) Mills of Dartmouth; daughters Luella (Earle) Baker of Fall River; Mary (Brian) MacKenzie of Burlington, Ontario, and Heather (Rick) McIntosh of Sarnia, Ontario. Grandchildren Jamie, Jonathan, Jay, Rose, Shawn, Jennifer, Heather, Ian, Mary, Daniel and Bill. Great grandchildren, Becky, Chloe, Andrew, Christopher, Michael, Emma and Allie.
She is also survived by her brothers Kenneth (Joyce) Naugler and Herbert (Alice) Naugler, sisters Alma Schaffenberg, Ruby (Jim) Keizer and Julia (Irvin)Wells, brother-in-law, Martin MacMillan, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husband Leonard and sisters Nina Smith and Alice MacMillan.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the nursing and caregiver staff on the second floor at Northwood Centre for their compassion, care, kindness and comfort provided to Hannah during her years at the Centre.
Visitation to be held on Monday, November 5th from 12-2pm in Ecum Secum Chapel, 429 Highway 7, Ecum Secum. A Funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2pm. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Moser River.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Northwood Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
