Kevin Sinclair Hartling- Herring Cove
On Sunday, Feb 11th, 2024, we lost a loving husband, father, granddad, brother, uncle, and friend. He was 62 years old. Kevin was born May 4th, 1961 in Sheet Harbour to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Sinclair) Hartling
Kevin was a carpenter with his own company for 40 years and loved his work. He enjoyed golf, fishing, cards, travelling, and loved both playing and watching hockey. He was well known for his cooking, especially BBQ. His Thursday night gang were a treasured part of his life on more than just Thursdays. A quick wit and great sense of humor made spending time with him a pleasure for all he knew. He will be greatly missed.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 40 years Mona (Josey), his daughter Alice, his son Benjamin and daughter-in-law Katy, and his grandchildren Andrew and Alexander. He is also survived by siblings Christine (Mike) Antle, Colin (Marlene), Terry (Kathy), Ruby (Tony) Publicover, Irene (Peter) Rutledge, niece Heather (Kendall) Jewers, nephew Eoin (Patricia), and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Lucy.
No visitation by request. A funeral service will held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 18th at St. James church in Port Dufferin, to be followed by a celebration of life at the Sheet Harbour Legion (upstairs). Kevin’s charity of choice was St. Mary’s church in Harrigan Cove. Memories and condolences may be sent online at www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca
