Obituary of Todd Robert Parkin
Please share a memory of Todd to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce Todd passed away on Friday October 6th, 2023. Todd was surrounded at his bedside by his son and his 2 sisters, and many wonderful friends and family sending messages of love and strength throughout the day. Born in Halifax October 5, 1960 he was the son of the late Robert Palmer and Elsie Marie (Todd) Parkin.
Todd was a kind, gentle, caring man. His profession as a lawyer was to serve those in need as a public defender in NYC. Before settling down, getting married and becoming a lawyer, Todd’s curiosity for travel, the arts and people is what he spent many years doing all over North America and Europe.
His greatest love in life, however, was that of a father. Todd loved being Guy’s Dad. Todd would go to endless lengths to be the best Dad he could. Whether it was Saturdays at Coney Island to play Yu Gi-Oh!, exploring the sights and sounds of NYC or the peaceful beauty of Moser River with Guy.
Todd is survived by his wonderful son, Guy Christo Parkin and former wife Christine Tsvetanov, his sister Cindy (Bobby) MacDonald, their children Bhreagh McKinnon and Robert MacDonald, Bhreagh’s children Ethan and Elsie, his sister Kate Parkin from Brooklyn, NY and Todd’s dear friends Brent and Linda Bezanson.
Todd loved life. He will be missed deeply by all.
A memorial service will be held in the springtime in Moser River. Online condolences may be directed to www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca
