Kenneth Wayne Horton- 73, Hammonds Plains
Ken passed away peacefully September 3, 2023 at the QEII Infirmary site after a lengthy illness. Born in Halifax May 9, 1950 he was a son of the late Merle & Verna (Langille) Horton.
Ken loved Hunting, Fishing, Camps, and especially enjoyed time at the Cottage. After several occupations Driving Tractor Trailers was his favorite. He continued until Retirement.
Ken is survived by his wife Brenda of 52 years. Sons Bradley, Mark (Jessica), and Grandson Wyatt; who was his pride and Joy. Brother Gordon (Judy), Sister in laws Reta, Audrey (Ken), Pearl (David), Heather Anne (Trevor); and several Nieces and Nephews.
A Funeral service will be held Saturday September 9 at 2p.m. in Cruickshanks Halifax Funeral Home 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax Rev. Mike Koslowski officiating. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception area. Burial Sunday September 10 at 2p.m. in St. Lukes Anglican Cemetery, Liscomb.
A special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, and VON; who cared for Ken.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
