Boutilier, Duncan Charles - 1942-2023, 80 years old ; of Lake Echo, formerly of Mushaboom. It is with great heartache that we announce the passing of our dear husband, dad, brother, brother in law, uncle, poppy, great grand poppy and great great grandpoppy who passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2023. Born in Mushaboom on November 19th 1942, he was a son of the late Norman and Mamie (Power) Boutilier. Duncan worked for Conrad Brothers construction for 32 years as a crusher operator. Duncan loved fishing, hunting, camping and joking around with anyone who would look at funny videos on his phone. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Boutilier (Chase) of 49 years, sons James Boutilier and Tony Brophy (Loretta) ; daughters Alice Longaphy , Susan Collings-Waite, Cindy Cooper (Wally ) and Debbie Knight. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his grandfather Jeremiah Boutilier, and grandmother Violette (Boutlier) both natives of Mushaboom , his sister Ines , his brothers Keith and Jeremiah and his daughter Kathy. Duncan will be greatly missed by all especially the love of his life Phyllis Boutilier. Burial will take place at a later date. Online condolences can be sent to www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
