I was so sad to see that Billy had passed away. His face with those twinkling eyes and huge smile is forever engraved in my mind. I met Billy in high school and we graduated the same year. I don't know anyone that didn't love him and his positive attitude and determination. Mountains became mole hills.
I've known some of the Peters family members from DMHS; however, my heart goes out to all the Peters family and friends. Love and Hugs!

It is with our deepest sympathy that we send our condolences to the family of Billy. He was always a true friend as all of the Peter's Family have always been to us. Bill and my sister Elizabeth were always close friends and classmates, and Bill often came to our home in Moser River to visit. We always have had great admiration for the entire Peters family and we treasure all the memories of years gone by and the special bond that we have with all the Peter's family. He was an inspiration to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him and how his faith and determination allowed him to deal with his physical handicaps and be a productive member of our community. May God give you understanding and reason for taking him home so soon.
With Our Deepest Sympathy
Heather, Anthony and Family

To the Peters Family - Uncle Billy was truly one of a kind. He will be missed by all those who were fortunate to meet him. I always cherished any visit I had with him either at the camp in Westchester, the house in Sheet Harbour, or at George and Connie's.
How true about his smile - indeed it lit up a room!
I still to this day will never forget having a serious conversation about politics or something in the news and mid-conversation Billy grabbing a fly off the table and pretended to eat it, and then right back into the conversation :)) His sense of humour was unreal.
Rest in Peace Uncle Billy!!

Peter’s family:
Sheet Harbour has lost one of it’s treasured sons, who was loved by all. Billy was always so kind and thoughtful, however he had that little devilish twinkle in his eye. A beautiful smile and always a kind word.
My thoughts and prayers are with all during this sad time in your lives.

Billy’s family:
Billy was a fun guy to be around, in 1972 Billy and I worked together flagging for department of highways when musquodoboit road was being paved back to middle. I travelled with Billy and by the summers end I knew every Charlie Pride song off by heart. We had a fun time and Billy was quite a jokester and kept all the crew on their toes. He never let his disability slow him down and didn’t look for sympathy from anyone. It’s these memories that I choose to remember Billy by.
A gentle soul with a big heart who touched many lives along his journey. Keep your happier and fond memories close to your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time in your lives.
Kind Thoughts

Yes Billy had a golden smile and his eyes would seem to shine whenever i was lucky enough to visit him.
At the last church service I was at with Father he did not speak my name but just by his look when speaking with him I could tell he knew me.
Billy will always be remembered .When I was learning to drive I a bit of advice he gave me was always signal before you brake and I never forgot it.
