Obituary of Dennis Gerald Harnish

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our amazing father, age 81 on April 24,2022 at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital. Born November 7, 1940 in Sober Island, he was the son of the late Allan and Nora (Westhaver) Harnish. He is survived by his partner Susie Boutilier, his son Gerry ( Julie) Harnish, daughters Kimberlea Hogue and Pamela ( Corey) Butler. ; Step-son Sterling Boutilier, grandchildren Colbie, Keigan and Maddison, step grandchildren, Breanna & Mia, sister Glenda (Byron) Boutilier and his special niece Brenda Pitts, along with many other nieces and nephews and his dearest friend and side kick Pat Jollimore. Predeceased by brothers Howard, Roy, Clyde, Donald, and Carl; and sisters Olive, Barbara, Joyce, Edna and Audrey in infancy and Stepson Jansen Boutilier. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dads' life will take place at DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour; on Saturday April 30 at 2:00p.m. with interment to follow at St Margaret's Anglican Church, Sober Island. Thanks to all our Family and Friends who have reached out and supported us in this difficult and sad time. A Special Thank You to the Staff at the Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital for the compassion and care they provided to our Dad. Dad had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up every room he entered.
