Obituary of Norma Elizabeth Rose
Rose, Norma Elizabeth- 66, Marie Joseph. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their loving mother and grandmother on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Sherbrooke August 10, 1951 she was a daughter of the late Hawley and Lillian (Rudolph) Hartling. Norma worked at the What Cheer Tea Room in Sherbrooke for several years and then fished with her husband for many years. She enjoyed cooking , entertaining and watching her favorite show, Coronation Street. Survived by son, Calvin (Jeannie), daughter, Sherry (George MacKenzie); grandchildren, Courtney, Michael, Bailey, Benjamin and Noah ; sisters, Amy (Amos) Cameron, Alice (Lorence) Mailman, Holly (Irvin) Misener, Elsie Hartling, and Becky (Dean) Tupper; brother, Irvin (Kim) Hartling. Predeceased by husband, Calvin and brother in law Sam Fricker. Family visitation only, Tuesday, July 10 from 12-12:45 pm in Ecum Secum Chapel. Family and friends are invited to the graveside committal service at 1 pm in St. Matthews Anglican Cemetery, Marie Joseph, Rev. Bruce Murray officiating. Reception to follow in the Liscomb Legion. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
