Obituary of Patricia Marie Dahr
Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Patricia Marie Dahr (Conrod)- 79 Sheet Harbour, died Wednesday January 19, 2022 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour surrounded by her family. Born in Halifax December 8, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Byron and Helen (Gage) Conrod. Mom was 6 years old when her mother passed away and was brought up by her grandmother while her father was out working. She was brought up the old school way, disciplined and well mannered. At the tender age of 12 her grandmother had to leave to assist another family member and mom assumed the care giver role for her brother and father. She was a quiet person and kept to herself but when she spoke we listened. She met the love of her life at the age of 15 and they made a lot of history together and created great memories. She worked alongside her husband Clarence at Clamar Construction doing his book work. Mom was interested in her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives and activities over the years. She enjoyed doing puzzles, word searches, watching Jeopardy and General Hospital. Patsy and Clarence enjoyed their Christmas’ together before he passed in 2012, and she especially enjoyed her last Christmas this past year surrounded by family. Survived by her son Walter (Tina), Beaver Harbour, daughters; Helen (Randy) Asprey and Judith Hare both of Sheet Harbour, grandchildren; Kylie (Devon), Dylan, Steven (Holly), Scott (Amanda), Pauline (Tommy), Lori and Leeann and 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband of 52 years Clarence and brother James. Due to COVID restrictions a private visitation and a private funeral will be held. The family would like to thank the doctors, especially Dr. MacDonald, nurses and staff of Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Patsy and her family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Blood Services of Nova Scotia.
