Obituary of William John Fleet
Fleet, William John- 78 Moser River, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2018 in Harbourview Lodge Sheet Harbour. Born December 20, 1939 in Halifax he was a son of the late Jeffery and Clara (Greenwood) Fleet. Bill started his working career as a crusher operator with Municipal and then at the Liscomb fish ladder, also worked in the woods cutting pulp with numerous logging companies and worked at Port Dufferin Gold Mines. Survived by children Dawna (Donald Tibert), Fleet Settlement, William (Kim), Glace Bay, stepdaughter Lori (Rod) Mountain, Dartmouth, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, sisters Clara Hiltz, Fleet Settlement, Ann Publicover, Nanaimo BC. Predeceased by his wife Gwen, brother Gerald. Cremation has taken place, a graveside committal service will be held Saturday April 7 at 2:00p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Moser River. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
