Obituary of Henry Oxley Sharpe
Sharpe, Henry Oxley- 78, West Quoddy passed away Thursday March 15, 2018 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Born in Moser River September 11, 1939 he was a son of the late Sidney and Lillian (Naugler) Sharpe. Henry worked as a plumber for the city of Halifax for 30 plus years. He enjoyed upholstery work, fishing and gardening. Henry was also a warden of St. James Anglican Church. Survived by his wife Shirley (Gammon), sons; Troy (Holly), Trevor, granddaughters Abigail, Anyslee and Tessa, brothers Lloyd, James, sister Audrey Mann (Bruce). Predeceased by daughter in law Angela, sister Doris and sister in law Cynthia Sharpe, step brother Donald Sharpe, step sisters Hilda Pye and Mildred Naugler. No visitation by request. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday March 21 at 2:00p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Port Dufferin Rev. Gary Barr officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Reception to follow in the SR Balcom Center. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
