Penney, Darlene Elizabeth- 69, Lochaber Mines and formally Yarmouth died peacefully Wednesday January 20, 2021 in Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Sheet Harbour. Born in Yarmouth September 4, 1951 she was a daughter of the late Melvin & Helen (Hilton) Smith. Darlene was employed at Western Regional Health Center for over 20 years, until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, walking on the beach looking for sea glass, she loved her cat Lucky, and enjoyed listening to her grandchildrens and great grandchildrens activities. Survived by partner Douglas Rutledge, daughters Roxanne (Darcy), Tammy (Paul), Brandi (Blake), 6 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, siblings, David (Shirley), Gayle (Rollie), Christine (Jim), Lynne (Allen), Michael (Paula), Gary, Monica, Melanie (Scott), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Clarence and Bryan. No visitation or funeral by request. Online condolences may be directed to www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca
