So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. My best memory of your Mom happened a long time ago. Your Dad took Courtney and I hand-lining in late summer. It was a great day and the catch was good. We were given all the Haddock that was landed that day. When we were steaming into the wharf, your mom was waiting. She fileted the Haddock for us, but Gramps wanted two left whole for baking. That's when she introduced her home-made scaler. What an ingenious invention. I later made one of my own. She was so thoughtful, skillful, and generous. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
