My father, Stephen Cripps, taught Rodney at the School for the Blind in Halfax. They remained life long friends. As a child, I remember Rodney visiting and my mom always having Red Rose Tea on hand for him. He was such a kind man. I am so sad to hear of his passing and wish his family love.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the McInnis family on the passing of Rodney.
Rodney was my best friend during my many years at the school in Halifax.
I have met some of you, the rest I heard stories about from Rodney.
There's so many memories and things I remember from time spent with Rodney.
We went through the school together, we both enjoyed electronics and even started a ham radio course together.
Rodney was given an electronics kit as a present as a kid which he shared with me, the interest in electronics and the computers that followed have stayed with me and I continue to work in that field today. To be honest, thanks to Rodney.
The free battery of the month club from Radio Shack was our ticket out of the school and off to Spring Garden Road to visit Radio Shack. Electronics, radios, kits.
When I graduated from the school, I lost contact with Rodney, we did reconnect for a short period of time around the mid 90s.
Rodney was a lot of fun to be around and I Will always remember him.
RIP my old friend, we will see each other again of that I am sure.
Thanks for the many memories and for always having my back.
Rest now,
Glenn Hallihan

I recently just found out my uncle Roddy had passed. I am sorry I was not present at the funeral to properly say good-bye. I would have been if someone would have contacted me to let me know. But instead, I will always treasure the times when you lived with my mom and I and I would come home from school and see that you would hang my one life-sized doll upside down from the curtain rod or other ways you would try to freak me out with my toys in odd places. You made coming home afterschool a fun game of "what did he do now". I even remember watching you while you practiced your martial arts in the living room, you were the reason I wanted to learn it and now my daughter is.
Life was exciting when you were around as you were always joking and horse-playing and full of energy. The world lost a good soul when you left us. RIP uncle Roddy!
Love you always,
Alisa

Best condolences to the McInnis family. I’ve been away on vacation For 2 weeks until today. Rod lived with us, during his school years in Dartmouth, when I was still married to his brother Finley. We’ve parted our ways, but it’s always hard when you lose a family member. RIP Rodney.......May peace be with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. My family and I shared some special moments with Rod. He was a very special person. I pray you can find some peace in the fact that he is now on the other side with those who left before him. I truly believe we are here until we learn the lessons we need to learn and then we cross over to peace and the other side. Our passing is no one's fault. It happens when it is supposed to happen. RIP Rod. Even though, we didn't always agree, you have a special place in my heart. Enjoy the fireworks Buddy.
