Mombourquette, Eva Marie- 76, Sheet Harbour, passed away peacefully surrounded by family August 5, 2020 in the QEII Health Sciences Center VG Site. Born in Sheet Harbour January 16, 1944 she was a daughter of the late Frances & Annie (Currie) Dugie and stepmother Julia (Reid). In earlier years she was an x-ray & lab technician at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital. After getting married she left her career and started a new career as a mother to her 5 children. As her children grew she opened a bakery with her sister Shirley. Eva was an avid voluneer in the community tutoring adults, helping at Harbourview lodge, singing in the church choir, helping with the C.W.L , and various other organizations. She loved playing cards, knitting, camping, travelling and spending time with her whole family. Survived by her husband of 54 years Orville, children; Lousie (Matt) Cameron, Moser River, Nadine, Watt Section, Bernadette (Burton) Matthews, Stewiacke, grandchildren; Ryan (Becky), Derek (Alicia), Morgan (Katie), Connor, Orrin, Felicia, 3 great-grandsons; Xavier, Cobe and Blake, daughter in law Christiane, brother Elbridge (Cathy) Lowe, sisters Thelma Adamson (Doug), Arlene (Fred) Keans, brother in law Hugh Michael, sisters in law Mary Louise, Deloris, Katherine, Carol, Irene, Janet, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by children Brenda and George, brothers Billy, Ernie, Garnet, Donnie, John, Robert, Arthur, sisters Murial, Madeline, Shirley and Patsy. Brother inlaws Raymond, Reg, Ray and Sister in law Uldeen. Visitation will be held Monday August 10 from 7-9p.m. with prayers at 7:30 in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7 Sheet Harbour, masks and social distancing required while in the building. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday August 11 at 11a.m. in St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, Sheet Harbour Father Vincent officiating, immediate family only in the church, others are welcome outside where service will be broadcasted on a sound system and to join the family for the burial immediately following the service in the church cemetery. Reception to follow at the Sheet Harbour Legion, masks required. Family flowers only. Donations in Eva’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Units at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital or the VG. A heartfelt thanks to the staff of Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital, Dartmouth General and ICU at the VG, a special thanks to our Critical Care Nurse Jenn.
