Obituary of Iris Annie Levy
Levy, Iris Annie-68 Sheet Harbour passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Sheet Harbour September 16, 1949 she was a daughter of the late Francis and Violet (Arkell) McInnis. In Iris’s earlier years she worked on a farm and sold apples, while raising her family. She then was a lunch room supervisor, and a custodian with Peel Board of Education for 28 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, colouring and spending time with her grandchildren. Survived by her husband of 50 years Eugene, children; Christal, Hamilton Ont., Michele (James Bettes), Brampton Ont., Tracey, Sheet Harbour, Roy (Lori) Smithville Ont., grandchildren; Kevin, Dylan, Nicole, Bradley, Alex and Elizabeth. Predeceased by brother David, sister in infancy Toby and grandson Brandon. Visitation will be held Thursday March 8 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home 22558 Highway 7 Sheet Harbour. Funeral service will be held Friday March 9 at 2:00p.m. in Living Water Baptist Church, Sheet Harbour, Pastor Steven Brunt officiating. Burial at a later date. Reception to follow in the Sheet Harbour Legion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diabetes Society.

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
