Obituary of Sandra Ann Hartling

Age 69. It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Sandra, of Sheet Harbour on January 24, 2020. Sandra gained her wings surrounded by her loving family. Born in Halifax January 16, 1951, she was a daughter of the late William and Hilda (Cullen) Slaunwhite. She was blessed with a very large family who adored her! Sandra loved sunny days on her back porch, a good cup of coffee and to be surrounded by her family. She was known for her delicious baking, warm heart and her love for a good clean floor. Survived by her children, Sherry Slaunwhite, Shawn (Erica) Hartling, Kenny Hartling and Kevin (Madeline) Hartling; her siblings, Diane, Sharron (Jody), Wayne (Olga), Barb, Debbie, Donna, Terry, Darlene, Charlene (Edgar), and Cathy; grandchildren, Kyle, Christopher, Patrick, Kayla, Colin, Eric, Gregory, Cody; and great-grandchildren, Kiersten and Madison; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth Hartling; brother, Pat (Bonnie) Slaunwhite. A special thank you sent to the amazing team in the 5.2 ICU unit at the QEII for all of their hard work, compassion and efforts. They went above and beyond! Cremation has taken place.
