Age 52, Sheet Harbour/Vancouver. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son George on December 21, 2019 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. George was born in Liverpool on November 13, 1967, he was the son of Orville and Eva (Dugie) Mombourquette. After graduating from Duncan MacMillan High School in Sheet Harbour, he later graduated from the College of Cape Breton and worked with various electronic companies in Canada, Bermuda and the Grand Caymans. His most recent work was in the green sustainable energy sector. He is survived by his wife, Christine Babin, and their pet Kona; sisters, Louise (Matt) Cameron, Nadine, Bernadette (Burton) Matthews; a niece, and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Brenda. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of his Life will take place in Vancouver and Sheet Harbour at a later date. Online condolences may be directed to: www.crowellsfuneralhome.ca
