James, Samantha, Elizabeth and Families,
I am so sorry to hear about Donald's sudden passing. I know there was not one time in my life that I ever passed by Donald without a big smile and wave. He was a very kind and sweet man, and will definitely be missed by all who knew him.
Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Dear Elizabeth, James, and Samantha,
We were shocked and heartbroken to hear of Donald’s passing. I had just talked to him the morning before as he always came down to ask about Bruce. We will miss his daily visits or drive-bys, and the road will never be the same without he and his four wheeler checking everything out. We called him the mayor of Lintlops and we always felt secure leaving the house knowing he was keeping an eye on things. We will miss him helping with the fallen trees, and the buggy with the kids in the back.
We will miss seeing him at the Edwards letting the dogs out and his watchful eye on all things in critter world. Donald loved his animals. We are so very happy we have a few of his crafts and creations in our home. We will always cherish them.
He was one of a kind.
Sincerely
Bruce and Connie Monk

I would like to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Family and friends of Donald. Even though I did not know him for very long, he left a very strong impression in my heart. His love for Family, nature and the simple things in life is what he loved! I know this because we had many good conversations discussing just that. The neighbors would joke about him being Lintlops Security, as he would take care of all the cottages and homes when we were away. Donald you were a wonderful person, thank you for always being so thoughtful and being there looking out for me when I was down East by myself...you will always hold a very special place in my heart and I will miss our conversations by the sea! Cheers bud! until we meet again. xoxo <3

My heart goes out to all of you. In hearing the news, so many memories of Donald came back to me. How he helped us with the fallen trees. How he gave me some fire wood and took some of us duck hunting. I remember his wry sense of humour, and his down-to-earth goodness.
May your memories of him stay with you and warm your hearts. I heard a quote lately that seems fitting: "The dead don't go away. They are always present. They just don't have a future."
Blessings,
Colleen in Toronto
