Obituary of Nancy Lynn Oickle
Age 70 Malay Falls, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at home. Born in Halifax May 2, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Beatrice (Sutherland) Malloy. After graduating from Miss Murphy's Business College she worked at several administrative positions within government and health care. Nancy was a kind, loving person who was always there for the people she loved. In her younger years she was known in Beaver Harbour for her cooking and baking for gatherings in the community. She will be sadly missed by her companion, Earl Watt. Nancy is survived by Earl; children, Travis, Fall River; Lisa Hutt, Beaver Harbour; special daughter, Claire Metcalfe; grandchildren, Amber, Hunter, Derek, Shelbey and Keira; great-granddaughter, Rielyn; brother, Donald (Karen Peterson), Lower Sackville. Predeceased by husband, Barry; daughter-in-law, Leanne Beaton. Cremation has taken place; no visitation or funeral. A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, June 29th, at 2 p.m. in Beaver Harbour Cemetery for family and friends. Reception to follow in SR Balcom Community Centre. Family flowers only. My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
