Obituary of Mary Jean Fleet
Age 89, Ecum Secum, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 in Highcrest Sherbrooke Nursing Home with her loving family by her side. Born July 7, 1929 in Grand Anse, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Neil and Daisy (Mauger) MacDonald. Mary was a loving wife and mother and was an active member of St. Barnabas Church Guild. Survived by children, Lawrence, Ecum Secum; Karen (Hugh) Pribe, Windsor, Maine; Blair, Ecum Secum; Wesley, Marie Joseph; sisters, Shirley Burke, Grand Anse; Margaret, Port Hawksbury; Roberta, Sydney; grandchildren, Sarah and Carmen; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by husband, Alvin and brother, Alexander in infancy. Visitation will be held Friday at 7-9 p.m. in Ecum Secum Chapel. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2nd at 3 p.m. in St. Barnabas Church, Ecum Secum, Rev. Gary Barr officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Highcrest Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion shown to Mary and her family

My father the late Duncan S. Crowell purchased the business on August 31, 1970 from the late Parker Hamilton. Dad named it Eastern Memorial Funeral Home until a few years later when he changed the name to DS Crowell Funeral Home.
